Employee Benefits Security Administration: The Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is an agency of the United States Department of Labor responsible for administering, regulating, and enforcing Title I of ERISA. This website includes not only information with regard to retirement plans and filing requirements, but also has information pertaining to the Affordable Care Act.
2016 Retirement Plan Limits: This website includes a very clear summary of the pertinent plan limits for the 2016 year following the IRS’s announcement of the cost of living adjustments.
Social Security Administration Retirement Planner: This website provides information related to Social Security and Medicare benefits and provides useful calculations for future planning.
EFAST2 Filing: This website provides valuable information regarding the filing and processing of the required Form 5500 series information returns.
ERISA Fidelity Bonds
An ERISA fidelity bond is an insurance that protects the plan and its participants against losses caused by fraud or dishonesty. It is required that every person who “handles funds or property” be bonded. This website by the EBSA gives detailed information regarding the purpose of the bond and who must be bonded: www.dol.gov.
